Employees of the UNEC Research Foundation are honored by President Ilham Aliyev.
12 employees of the UNEC Research Foundation were awarded a “Certificate of Appreciation” by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for their active participation in the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29), held in Baku.
The award ceremony took place with the participation of the president of the UNEC Research Foundation, Farkhad Amirbayov, the rector of UNEC, Professor Adalyat Muradov, and the staff of the foundation and the university.
In his speech, Farkhad Amirbayov emphasized the exceptional role of the head of state in organizing such a significant event as COP29 and achieving its successful outcomes. Expressing his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for this national success story, F. Amirbayov spoke about the activities of the UNEC Research Foundation during COP29, the work carried out throughout the year, implemented projects, and future plans. He also praised the innovations applied at the university, highlighted that the majority of the foundation’s staff are UNEC alumni, and congratulated the award recipients.
The rector of UNEC, Professor Adalyat Muradov, highlighted President Ilham Aliyev’s exceptional contributions to hosting COP29 in Azerbaijan, noting that the country witnessed a historic event. A. Muradov expressed particular pride in the fact that UNEC staff who participated in COP29 got recognition by the head of state, as evidenced by the “Certificates of Appreciation” they received.
Finally, Professor Adalyat Muradov presented the “Certificates of Appreciation” to the employees of the UNEC Research Foundation.
